1) Сложно ли было адаптироваться к учебе в колледже? К чему было привыкнуть сложнее всего?
Адаптироваться было сложно. Во первых, нехватка языковых знаний конкретно в области которую я изучала (архитектура). Во-вторых, очень загруженное расписание каждый будний день с 8 утра до 5-ти вечера + постоянные домашние задания и как следствие времени ни на какие другие виды деятельности, будь то работа/семья/отдых не остаётся. В третьих, невозможность передачи экзаменов, завалил — теряешь год.
2) Остались ли вы довольны качеством обучения?
Качеством обучения довольна. 3
) Какие главные плюсы и минусы вашего колледжа?
Плюсы: программа обучения построена так, что дают не просто теоретические знания, а то что действительно пригодится на рабочем месте, к тому же большинство преподавателей работают в сфере, которую преподают. Минусы: непродуманное расписание.
4) Что вас удивило больше всего в процессе обучения?
Отзывчивость и понимание преподавателей.
5) Как быстро вы нашли работу и прошли иммиграционный процесс после обучения?
Работу нашла сразу после окончания. Иммиграционным процессом не занималась т.к. уже имею гражданство.
6) Что бы вы посоветовали бы будущим студентам?
Не бойтесь идти в BCIT если нашли свою программу и готовы полностью погрузиться в учёбу.

1) Сложно ли было адаптироваться к учебе в колледже? К чему было привыкнуть сложнее всего?
Адаптация, хотя я и выпустилась из старшей школы в Северном Ванкувере, и правда была сложной. Нас не предупреждали насколько сложные будут курсы, в основном в моей группе туризма я была самая младшая. Остальные одногруппники брали программу уже пару лет спустя после выпуска, попробовав крутые универститеты, типо SFU и UBC, но не добившись результата. Сложнее было привыкнуть что помимо рассписания с 8.30 — 4, нужно было впихивать множество групповых встреч для бизнес проектов.
2) Остались ли вы довольны качеством обучения?
В итоге, после очень малого количества сна, я осталась счастливой, потому что это был особенный опыт, который ни один из моих знакомых не получал (которые учились в универститетах и брали по 3-4 предмета), в то время как у меня было 8 предметов.
3) Какие главные плюсы и минусы вашего колледжа?
Если честно, удивляло, как мало я стала видеться с друзьями, ибо ни один предмет нельзя было провалить, и пропускать больше чем два часа в в любом предмете было нельзя, поэтому все время посвещалось обучению.

5) Как быстро вы нашли работу и прошли иммиграционный процесс после обучения?
Моя нынешняя и моя первая работа — пошла от практики предоставляемой BCIT, на которую я подавалась как на настоящую работу, в разные виды заведений. В итоге, мне предложили там остаться после практики.
6) Что бы вы посоветовали бы будущим студентам?
Посоветовала бы не отчаиваться, и пробиваться — BCIT признан самым еффективным в плане работы после колледжа и приминения знаний на практике.
Михаил Королев, Студент BCIT, Школа финансов1) Сложно ли было адаптироваться к учебе в колледже? К чему было привыкнуть сложнее всего?
Сложнее всего было привыкнуть к тому, что нет пересдачи. Не сдал предмет — беру заново и плати $1000.
2) Остались ли вы довольны качеством обучения?
Да, обучение очень качественное. Хотя, по-моему мнению, некоторые преподователи просто отсиживали свое время.
3) Какие главные плюсы и минусы вашего колледжа?
Плюсы: много практики, что облегчает дальнейший поиск работы. Более того, некоторые программы включают в себя опцию с практикой. Минусы: слишком большая нагрузка. Свободного времени практически не остается.
4) Что вас удивило больше всего в процессе обучения?
Стиль одежды студентов. Все ходят с рюкзаками, в шлепках и с бутылкой воды — не как в пафосном российском уннивере.
5) Как быстро вы нашли работу и прошли иммиграционный процесс после обучения?
Быстро, в течение месяца. Иммиграция в процессе.
6) Что бы вы посоветовали бы будущим студентам?
Подготовьтесь к концлагерю на 2 года — забудьте друзей и гулянки. Окунитесь с головой в учебу и познавайте!

1) Сложно ли было адаптироваться к учебе в колледже? К чему было привыкнуть сложнее всего?
Адаптироваться было сложно первые 2 месяца. Чувствовалось, что в BCIT принципиально иной подход к обучению, в сравнении с моей учебой в Украине. Все гораздо серьезнее. Все тесты и экзамены сдаются только 1 раз и при несдаче получаешь Fail по предмету, после чего если предмет ключевой, то тебя временно снимают с программы, так как в BCIT на очной форме вы не можете выбирать предметы и программа расчитана предварительно. В отличие от других колледжей и ВУЗов где студенты берут 3-4 предмета в семестр, BCIT дает вам 7-8 и выбрать ничего нельзя. Мне сложнее всего было привыкнуть к автоматизации системы обучения через интернет и учебным вебсайтам типа D2L (Desire to Learn), где размещается огромное количетсво информации, а также тесты и домашние задания. Пока я во всем этом разобрался, то пропустил уже несколько недель домашних заданий.
2) Остались ли вы довольны качеством обучения?
Я полностью доволен качеством обучения, лично я считаю, что оно на порядок выше многих колледжей, где вам предлогают 2х годичную систему обучения. BCIT выдает огромный поток информации, после чего предметы обучения начинают снится, как это было в моем случае и мне во время экзаменов снились формы финансовой отчетности.
3) Какие главные плюсы и минусы вашего колледжа?
Плюсы для себя, я вижу как ни странно в экономии денег, дело в том что оплата идет не за модуль, а за семестр, при том что в семестр напихано огромное количетсво модулей и предметов. В моем случае, учась на бухгалтера, я за 2 года закрыл все предметы блока PREP для CPA в других учебных заведених на это бы ушло года 3-4. Минусы в том, что мало свободного времени. Еще по сравнению с другими колледжами, BCIT выглядит недостаточно современным.
4) Что вас удивило больше всего в процессе обучения?
Удивило то, насколько серьезно все учатся, хотя для моих одногруппников из Кореи и Китая после школьной учебы с 8-ми утра до 8-ми вечера учеба в BCIT казалась не настолько и серьезной. Поначалу, удивительным было то, что начиналось обучение прямо-таки с детских азов, например нам рассказывали про порядок действий в уравнении, что сначала умножение и деление, а потом сложение и вычитание, однако, уже через пару месяцев все стало гораздо серьезнее.
5) Как быстро вы нашли работу и прошли иммиграционный процесс после обучения?
Работу нашел в течении 2-х недель после обучения, получив должность Accounts Payable Clerk, однако уже через 7 месяцев меня повысили, думаю, что качество учебы в BCIT и навыки которые я получил сыграли свою роль. А вот иммиграционный процес я еще не прошел, по скольку хочу идти по Express Entry, а повышение до позиции NOC — A я получил лишь пол года назад. 6) Что бы вы посоветовали бы будущим студентам? Посоветовал бы делать упор на развитие скорости чтения и сканирования информации с бумажных и электронных книг. Как только скорость чтения выйдет приблизительно на уровень родного языка, учеба станет в 10 раз легче.
Галя Сковородникова, Студент BCIT, Маркетинг1) Сложно ли было адаптироваться к учебе в колледже? К чему было привыкнуть сложнее всего?
Я училась в BCIT совсем недолго — я брала там курс маркетинга (чтобы освежить свое российское образование в соответствии с местными реалиями). Сначала было нелегко, так как я тогда только приехала, английский был еще не на том уровне, поэтому было трудно воспринимать информацию и готовить проекты на другом языке.
2) Остались ли вы довольны качеством обучения?
Курс мне понравился. Был очень хороший преподаватель-практик. Она не только давала необходимую теорию, но и делилась очень интересным опытом и примерами из своей практики. Атмосфера в группе была очень дружественная. Приятно было поработать в команде при подготовке итогового командного проекта.
3) Какие главные плюсы и минусы вашего колледжа? Из плюсов бы отметила гибкость при выборе курсов и графика. Я брала только то, что мне было нужно, и выбрала подходящий для меня график (по выходным). Хороший преподавательский состав, хорошее здание (комфортно и уютно). Из минусов сложно что-то отметить, так как училась недолго.
4) Что вас удивило больше всего в процессе обучения? Удивило меня то, что несмотря на плохой тогда еще язык я смогла закончить курс с одним из самых высоких баллов в группе. Также, удивило неформальное общение с преподавателем и одногруппниками.
5) Как быстро вы нашли работу и прошли иммиграционный процесс после обучения?
Работу я нашла где-то через полгода (но потом ее поменяла и ушла немного в другую сферу), но тот короткий период обучения в BCIT был весьма полезным для меня: помог увидеть, как механизмы, которые я изучала раньше, работают сейчас, в новой среде и культуре, научил меня работать с большим количеством информации на иностранном языке, познакомиться с интересными людьми.
6) Что бы вы посоветовали бы будущим студентам?
Будущим студентам я бы посоветовала выбирать именно те программы, которые им действительно нравятся. Не бояться менять свой путь, если он не устраивает. Быть готовым к большому объему работы (но это все только на пользу), быть открытыми в отношении новых (иногда необычных и непривычных) точек зрения и мнений. А главное — наслаждаться студенчеством, новыми идеями и знаниями и общением с интересными людьми.

1) Сложно ли было адаптироваться к учебе в колледже? К чему было привыкнуть сложнее всего?
Как наверное уже многие знают, учеба в BCIT всегда очень интенсивная, поэтому тяжело было привыкнуть к тому, что надо жить только школой и забыть про свою социальную жизнь (друзей, семья, т.п.). А вообщем очень хороший институт.
2) Остались ли вы довольны качеством обучения?
Качеством обучения, в основном, осталась довольна, но так как я училась на экспериментальной программе (Sustainable Event Management) было, к сожалению, несколько недоработок со стороны BCIT. Например с практикой, когда нам вначале обещали всем обеспечить место на практику в той или иной кампании, в результате почти все искали сами по себе.
3) Какие главные плюсы и минусы вашего колледжа?
Плюсы:работа в команде, преподаватели, имеющие рабочий опыт в сфере, которую преподают и дают практические знания, а также то, что BCIT престижный институт (работодатели любят студентов с BCIT). Минусы: больших минусов я не заметила (если только много работы задают…Хаха).
4) Что вас удивило больше всего в процессе обучения?
Удивили наверное преподаватели, к которым очень легко найти подход. Они общаются наравне со студентами и очень дружелюбные.
5) Как быстро вы нашли работу и прошли иммиграционный процесс после обучения? Подрабатывать по своей специальности я стала сразу после окончания (а во время учебы были возможности поделать несколько волонтерских работ). Сейчас ищу что-то на постоянной основе.
6) Что бы вы посоветовали бы будущим студентам? Будущим студентам я бы посоветовала следовать своей мечте и никогда не сдаваться, потому что нет ничего невозможного! Технологический институт округа Берлингтон с гордостью объявляет об открытии нового веб-сайта для выпускников, разработанного Alumni Channel, чтобы охватить более 10 960 студентов, окончивших округ с момента его основания в 1962 году.Дизайн предусматривает отдельный сайт для выпускников из каждого кампуса. Нынешним сотрудникам, бывшим преподавателям, друзьям и родителям также предлагается войти на новый сайт. После того, как человек зарегистрируется на сайте, он или она получит доступ к личным биографиям, размещению и просмотру фотографий, а также сможет вступить в диалог с другими зарегистрированными пользователями. Существует форум для воссоединения классов, поиска потерянных одноклассников, общего обсуждения и форум «In Memoriam», где можно поделиться воспоминаниями об умерших одноклассниках и сотрудниках.

О BCIT
